Day 29 – Something you could never get tired of doing.

I tried to post this yesterday but for some reason blogger was down...


Something I never get tired of doing is playing with my kids. I love tea parties, imaginary rescue missions, reading books, watching Toy Story 100 times in a row, playing trains, hamper "basketball", playing in the dirt, going for walks (wagon rides), pretending to be a monster and chasing the kids up and down the hallway...the list could go on and on.

This time last year I was very, very pregnant with Harper. A lot has changed since then. Harper was born, we moved into a new home and David got a new job.

I actually lived there for like a month in 2006 with an ex-boyfriend. But the only exciting part about there is the fact that The Office is set there. Scranton, WHAT?! The electric city!

Day 25 – What’s in your purse?

I never really carry a purse, I just have a "clutch" with my driver's license, insurance cards, cash and debit in it that I throw into the diaper bag. But here are the current contents of the diaper bag...

A change of clothes for both kids
A floppy hat for Harper
Diapers (normally there are wipes in there too but I guess I accidentally left them at my grandparents house earlier)
Trains and crayons (distractions for kiddos!!!)
Harper's sippy cup
Harper's binkies
A microwave lunch for Harper
Gummy snacks
A sandwich box (which currently has some gluten free graham crackers in it)

Day 24 – A photo of something that means a lot to you.

At first I was going to put a picture of my family because they mean so much to me, but then I decided to actually talk about a THING that means a lot to me.

This bowl was my grandma's when she was a child. You can't really tell by the picture but it is very warped. My grandma told me that when she was little, my Great Grandpa took her to the general store to buy groceries (they lived out in the boonies and did not own a car.) She said there were stacks of bowls there and the clerk could not get this bowl to stack because it was crooked and he ended up just giving it to her. So now I own the bowl, it's at least 70 years old and is still in amazing condition. There are no markings on the bottom so I have no idea where it was made or anything but it still means a lot to me. I love my little lopsided bowl. :)

1. I will be 24 on May 27th
2. I get embarassed when my husband does not say hi to the door greeters in WalMart (he says I am too nice because I always go out of my way to say hello!)
3. When I was younger I thought I didn't want kids until I was in my 30s. I had Micah the month before my 21st birthday and Harper when I was 23!
4. After giving birth to Harper I developed dermatographia.
5. My kitchen is decorated in a lot of vintage fruit and veggie canisters and wall hangings.
6. I love thrift stores and yard sales.
7. 30 Rock is my favorite show.
8. I love cooking and throwing parties.
9. I am learning to garden and recently planted my first flowerbed.
10. I want to get a tattoo of a dandelion.

I haven't had anyone hurt me in a very long time, and they people that have hurt me in the past I have moved on from and refuse to acknowledge anymore.

Waking up every morning to my two beautiful kids makes me very happy (and proud too!!!)

Because Micah calls me Momma and I can't live without my caffeine!!!

Yay for moving!!!

We're finally moved in!!! I'm hoping that either this weekend or next we will be able to have people over for a house warming bbq and lots and lots of playdates. I will try to start back on my 30 day challenge tonight! Promise.

Uh-oh!

Well we are in the middle of moving so I will only be able to update by Nook or phone so I can't load pictures. So I will have to take a break from the 30 day challenge until everything gets hooked up at the new place!

But we really love our new place! Not only is it closer to my family and friends, but it is also a lot larger than our old apartment. :) We can't wait to have everyone over for a housewarming bbq party! I already bought a pink flamingo for the front yard!

Maybe a walk in the park, funny movie, laid back dinner. On our first date we went to eat at Cable Car Pizza and went and saw a scary movie.

For lunch I made us chicken and rice burritos with my homemade refried beans. It's one of David's favorite meals except normally we do it as chicken tacos and the beans and rice are on the side.

Day 1: My day was pretty awesome. It started with Don and Barbara watching the kids and David and I going to a bunch of yard sales and flea markets. We stopped and got ice cream cones from Braums and got to spend about 4 hours without the kids. When we picked up the kids they were both napping on the back porch with Don and Barbara (so cute!!!) and Don told us that they took the kids in the wagon for a long walk around the neighborhood and took them down to a pond and the got to see a bunch of geese. So we loaded the kids up in the car and drove home. Well, the only bad part of the day was when we were less than a mile from home the serpentine belt on our car just shredded off but thankfully our car still was running (just the steering went out) and we were able to safely make it home. But we got all that figured out and it will get fixed this week. But after that David had to go to work and the kids and I cleaned house and watched Up again. Now Harper is snoozin' in bed and Micah is almost asleep. Great day! :)

2. Twins!!!
Last Friday we found out that my sister-in-law is expecting TWINS! I am so excited and I can't wait to throw her baby shower for her!!!


3. Cream cheese stuffed strawberries
Saw these online and have been thinking about them ever since. Yummy!


4. Radio Flyer wagon
Don and Barbara got Micah (and Harper) this double wagon for Micah's birthday. Both kids love it and I am happy to finally retire the stroller. :)


5. My new dress
I bought this dress for myself at Old Navy today. It's actually a slip with a sheer dress over the top but I love it and it's actually very flattering.


6. Netflix
We have decided to get rid of our cable since really every show we watch is available online (except American Idol!) So maybe now I will actually get caught back up on my instant queue on Netflix!
